Final-year university student at Victoria University of Wellington, majoring in Computer Science. Looking for a summer internship and/or graduate role in the cybersecurity or data science fields. Based in Wellington, but am able to relocate anywhere in New Zealand.
Projects
STRIDE and Security Cards
Conducted risk assessment of an aircraft service application using the STRIDE method and a set of security cards provided by the University of Washington.
- Identified ways that abuse of the system could directly or indirectly impact stakeholders by using security cards as a guide and the STRIDE method on each element of the system.
- Described threats and selected the most realistic threats with reasoning. Proposed mitigations to threats.
Personal website
A website to showcase web design skills, for blogging, and for cataloguing.
- Formatted content using HTML and created designs using CSS. Validated markup for cross-browser compatibility.
- Created mobile responsive layouts for smartphone users.
MusicGuru
Constructed a TCP/IP server that a client connects to and requests for a song from a certain year. The server then returns a random song from the top 10 charts of that year.
- Programmed the server and client code in Java.
- Created EC2 instances on AWS to host the server on. Also created AMIs out of instances, load balancers, containers/Docker images, and clusters using Fargate.
H1N1 Vaccine
Trained machine learning algorithms to predict whether or not a survey respondent took the H1N1 vaccine (a classification problem). Conducted using Python and the Scikit-learn library.
- Performed exploratory data analysis to gain insights into data.
- Preprocessed data for training, such as scaling numerical features and one-hot encoding nominal features.
- Evaluated model performance using a variety of metrics, such as accuracy and root mean squared error.

Interests
I enjoy collecting and listening to my record collection – I mostly collect 80’s Japanese and English-language pop and rock. I am a casual weightlifter and seamstress, and enjoy following sports.
